Known limitations
What this dataset does not cover
- Every field is self-reported by the filer. The SEC does not verify it; SIC codes in particular are often decades out of date.
- Only registrants the connector has been asked to track are collected. Coverage is the tracked universe, not all of EDGAR.
- Former-name intervals come from the filer and are occasionally missing or overlapping.
